Buda sits on I-35 in northeastern Hays County, between San Marcos and Austin. Around town, RVs live on long-term sites at the RV parks or in home driveways. When the rooftop AC quits in August or a slide-out jams, the RV is hard to move. Mobile RV repair in Buda brings the technician to the RV instead.
River Cities RV Service is based in San Marcos, about 17 miles south on I-35. Buda is part of our service area, and our mobile RV repair service comes to the RV. We fix travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes and campers, or you can bring the RV to our San Marcos shop. Call or text (512) 850-7257 to set up a service call.
Tell us about your RV, what is wrong and where it is parked. We diagnose the problem and put the repair quote in writing.
Several RV parks carry a Buda address. Austin Hills RV Park on Windy Hill Road rents long-term and monthly sites. Trailmarker RV Park on FM 1327 rents full-hookup sites by the day or by the month. We come to your site, and the RV stays where it is.
Camping is not allowed in Buda's city parks outside city-sponsored or community events. That leaves the private RV parks, where full-time RVers on monthly sites need repairs done where they live.
Census Bureau survey figures show about 84 percent of Buda's homes are single-family detached houses. More than half went up in 2010 or later. The 78610 ZIP reaches well past the city limits and holds about three times the city's population. We work in driveways across all of it, in town and out.
Onion Creek runs through Buda. Historic Stagecoach Park covers more than 50 acres on Onion Creek, with trails through oak and mesquite. Cullen Country Park, a greenbelt with trails, backs up to Garlic Creek. The Texas Legislature named Buda the Outdoor Capital of Texas in 2005.
Downstream, Onion Creek runs through McKinney Falls State Park inside Austin's city limits. The park has 81 campsites, all with water and electric hookups. That edge of Austin sits inside our 50-mile range from San Marcos.
The state park warns that Onion Creek can flood after rainfall. The City of Buda notes that flash flooding is frequent and dangerous in Central Texas. If your site sits low near a creek, plan where the RV goes when storms build.
Hard rain also finds any gap in the roof seams. RV roof repair covers resealing seams and vents, up to a full roof replacement.
NOAA climate averages for San Marcos and the Austin airport put August highs near 97 degrees. Both stations average more than 115 days a year at 90 degrees or hotter. A rooftop air conditioner in Buda runs hard from May into September.
In summer, a dead air conditioner is our most common urgent call. RV AC repair covers the diagnosis and the fix, or a new unit when the old one is done.
Spring storms can bring hail. In spring 2021, the National Weather Service counted seven storms with hail 2 inches or larger across South-Central Texas. Hail can crack roof vents and dent fiberglass sidewalls. Our body specialist handles RV body and collision repair for hail and fiberglass damage.
Winter is short here, but it still freezes. NOAA averages count about 20 freezing nights a year in San Marcos and 33 at the Austin airport. A hard freeze can split a water line. Cold nights are also when a furnace that will not light turns into a problem.
From San Marcos, Buda is about 17 miles north on I-35, past Kyle. On the west side, the city tracks new subdivisions along RM 967 and Cole Springs Road. FM 2001 heads out of Buda toward Niederwald.
Buda sits well inside the 50-mile radius around San Marcos. Within that radius, the service call covers the diagnosis and the trip to your RV. After the diagnosis, the quote for the repair goes in writing. When a repair needs parts, we order them and come back to finish the work.
Hail and collision damage often come with an insurance claim. Our RV warranty and insurance repairs start with the on-site diagnosis and the write-up for the claim. Once the claim is approved, we do the repair and you pay the deductible.
Travelers on I-35 stay at Buda's RV parks too. If something breaks on the road, we can meet you at the park. If an RV cannot be repaired where it sits, a towing company can bring it to our San Marcos shop.

Josh replaced the a/c and heater control board in my travel trailer he did an awesome job I highly recommend him
We discovered just 4 days before our Thanksgiving trip that our RV slide-out wasn’t working. We contacted Josh, and he came out the very same day to diagnose the issue. He quickly ordered the necessary parts and managed to get everything repaired in time for our trip. Josh was professional, efficient, and highly communicative throughout the entire process, keeping us informed every step of the way. His pricing is very reasonable, and we truly appreciate the extra effort he put in to ensure we were able to leave on time. Highly recommend his RV repair services!
Josh and his team are amazing. He replaced my roof on my wildcat 5th wheel. And once it rained he returned twice to assess any leaks and concerns. He’s my repair guy now! Thank you Josh!!!!
Josh was great. He answered all of my questions. He installed a new roof on my rv, it honestly looked brand new like it rolled off the factory line. He was fast and reliable! Definitely calling him back for an AC job next.
Josh helped me with my RV A/C repair in a pinch and was absolutely wonderful and professional. Without his help in replacing my A/C this summer would have been unbearable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Y’all! I cannot say enough amazing things about River Cities RV Service. Josh was absolutely incredible and got us out a tough situation with zero AC in July in Texas. He came to Lockhart State Park where we were staying and fixed us up.
