Seguin summers are hard on an RV air conditioner. NOAA's normals for the area count about 127 days a year at 90 degrees or hotter. When a rooftop unit quits in August, a trailer at a Guadalupe River RV park heats up fast. A fifth wheel parked at a lake house on Lake McQueeney has the same problem.
River Cities RV Service does mobile RV repair in San Marcos and the towns around it. Seguin is part of our service area, about 22 miles down SH 123. Mobile RV repair in Seguin means we come to the RV and work on it where it sits. Call or text (512) 850-7257 to set up a service call.
Tell us about your RV, what is wrong and where it is parked. We diagnose the problem and put the repair quote in writing.
The Guadalupe River runs along the south side of Seguin, past the 227 acres of Max Starcke Park. Seguin has RV parks on the river off the SH 123 Bypass and up SH 46 north of town. We come to your site, whether you stopped for a night off I-10 or parked for the season.
At a park, we work on the pad where the RV sits. We diagnose the problem there, then put the quote for the repair in writing. When a repair needs parts, we order them and come back to finish the job.
Seguin, the Guadalupe County seat, is growing fast. The 2020 Census counted 29,433 people here, and the Census Bureau estimates 38,789 for 2024. About seven in ten homes in town are detached houses. If your RV sits in a driveway in town or by a barn in the county, we come to it.
Lake Placid sits at the southwest edge of town, and Lake McQueeney lies a few miles west. Both are Guadalupe River lakes held back by dams built between 1928 and 1932. The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority finished new spillgates on both in early 2026. Both lakes were back at normal level in April 2026.
We work on campers and motorhomes parked at lake houses on either lake, the same as at a park. If your trailer sat all winter, have the roof seals and the AC checked before the summer weekends.
Heat is the big one. NOAA's normals for the area put July and August highs near 97 degrees. A rooftop air conditioner runs hard all afternoon in that heat, and worn parts give out. We diagnose the unit on the roof and do RV AC repair at your site.
NOAA's normals for the Seguin station show about 34 inches of rain a year. May and October are the wettest months. Storms in spring and fall can bring hail, and hail is hard on an RV roof. After a storm, we check the seams and vents, then take care of RV roof repair where the RV sits.
Winters are mild, but NOAA's area normals still count about 19 nights a year at 32 degrees or colder. The first freeze tends to arrive in late November. A furnace that will not light is the common winter call. We do RV furnace repair as part of our propane work.
From San Marcos, SH 123 runs about 22 miles to Seguin, roughly a half-hour drive. I-10 cuts through Seguin, about 35 miles from downtown San Antonio. SH 46 heads northwest to New Braunfels, and the SH 130 toll road runs north toward Lockhart.
Highway miles wear on trailer springs and shackles. If you stop in a Seguin RV park with a broken spring, we can work on it there. We do RV suspension repair on travel trailers and fifth wheels.

Josh replaced the a/c and heater control board in my travel trailer he did an awesome job I highly recommend him
We discovered just 4 days before our Thanksgiving trip that our RV slide-out wasn’t working. We contacted Josh, and he came out the very same day to diagnose the issue. He quickly ordered the necessary parts and managed to get everything repaired in time for our trip. Josh was professional, efficient, and highly communicative throughout the entire process, keeping us informed every step of the way. His pricing is very reasonable, and we truly appreciate the extra effort he put in to ensure we were able to leave on time. Highly recommend his RV repair services!
Josh and his team are amazing. He replaced my roof on my wildcat 5th wheel. And once it rained he returned twice to assess any leaks and concerns. He’s my repair guy now! Thank you Josh!!!!
Josh was great. He answered all of my questions. He installed a new roof on my rv, it honestly looked brand new like it rolled off the factory line. He was fast and reliable! Definitely calling him back for an AC job next.
Josh helped me with my RV A/C repair in a pinch and was absolutely wonderful and professional. Without his help in replacing my A/C this summer would have been unbearable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Y’all! I cannot say enough amazing things about River Cities RV Service. Josh was absolutely incredible and got us out a tough situation with zero AC in July in Texas. He came to Lockhart State Park where we were staying and fixed us up.
